HOW IT WORKS

01

Choose seconds or milliseconds explicitly.

02

Enter a timestamp or an ISO date with its time zone.

03

Convert and compare UTC with your browser’s local time.

Worked examples

Choose the timestamp unit before converting. The same instant can have different local clock times. A date with +08:00 is eight hours ahead of UTC; an explicit offset avoids guessing the input time zone.

Example Input / settings Expected result

Rules and limits

Unix time measures elapsed time from 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z. Date input must include Z or an explicit offset. Seconds output rounds down; milliseconds preserve millisecond precision. Local display follows your browser’s time zone.
